The daughters of Bhopal will bring honor to Madhya Pradesh at a program to be held on National Unity Day, October 31, 2025, at the Ekta Nagar (Statue of Unity) complex in Gujarat, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The girls' team from St. Joseph Convent School Idgah Hills, Bhopal, secured first place in the state in a band competition organized by the School Education Department and represented Madhya Pradesh at the national level, securing second place in the country.
The same team has been selected by the Union Home Ministry to perform at the program to be held on October 31 at the Statue of Unity complex. The Home Ministry has invited two teams participating in the national band competition: St. Joseph Convent School, Bhopal, which secured second place in the girls' category, and the Rajasthan team, which secured first place in the boys' category.
These two teams will jointly perform at the program to be held in the presence of Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Shah.
This program is being organized to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The state band team will share the stage with teams from the State Police Force, Border Security Force, other security forces, and the NCC.
The band, consisting of 30 girls, will depart for Gujarat on October 23rd, accompanied by their instructor, Rasik Nagar Pandey. Pandey said that the band team will perform tunes in Hindi, Gujarati, English, Spanish, and German. School Principal Sister Lily stated that the band team has been preparing for this prestigious event for the past 15 days. Participating in this event is a matter of pride for our school, Bhopal, and the entire state of Madhya Pradesh.
