Bihar Assembly Election-2025: The NDA alliance announced its seat-sharing agreement for the Bihar Assembly elections 2025 on Sunday. Questions are now being raised about when the Grand Alliance will announce its seat-sharing agreement.
The Congress party has said preparations are underway for the seat-sharing agreement.
Responding to media questions in Delhi, Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru said, "Once the seat-sharing agreement is finalized, the list will be released. Our goal is to form a good government for the people of Bihar, ensuring that the alliance is not harmed and Bihar benefits."
Bihar Congress state president Rajesh Ram responded to media questions, saying, "All topics were discussed within the India Alliance, which included Rahul Gandhi and other senior leaders. All topics were discussed very positively."
All eyes on the meeting between Tejashwi and senior Cong leaders
All eyes are on the important meeting between RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and senior Congress leaders—Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge—in New Delhi on Monday. They will discuss how to share seats among the Opposition INDIA bloc partners for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
Mukesh Sahani, the leader of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), said that some technical issues have delayed the announcement about seat sharing. “I am heading to New Delhi to resolve these issues,” he said before leaving Patna on Sunday.
Sahani said that Lalu and Tejashwi are already in Delhi. “I have been invited to the meeting on Monday. Once we sort out the issues, we will announce the seat allocation,” he added, emphasizing that the INDIA bloc plans to contest the elections together.
The NDA announced on Sunday that the BJP will contest 101 seats in Bihar, the JDU 101, and Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) 29.
Other NDA allies, such as Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Party (Secular) and Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha, have won six seats each.
