Chasing Global Dreams: Players from Shahdol's Vicharpur "Mini Brazil" arrive in Germany; begin football training

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his "Mann Ki Baat" program, gave national and international recognition to the football team from Vicharpur village in Shahdol district, Madhya Pradesh, by calling them "Mini Brazil." Following the PM's mention, Germany's prestigious club, FC Ingolstadt 4, provided Vicharpur's players and coach with the opportunity to train from October 4 to 12. On Saturday, these young stars embarked on their dream journey to Germany, where they will receive world-class training, international experience, and training in new strategies.

The players, under the guidance of coach Dietmar Beiersdorf and trainers, toured the club, where they observed the club's sports center, gym sessions, and state-of-the-art Skills Lab Arena. Here, the players witnessed the modern techniques of German football training for the first time and began preparing themselves for the club's professional environment.

Training began under the guidance of coach Dietmar Beiersdorf

The players' training will continue until October 12th. During this period, they are receiving intensive training in modern football techniques, fitness, team strategy, and tactical game planning under the guidance of German coach Dietmar Beiersdorf. Players are being taught ball control, passing, shooting, and defensive and offensive strategies. The training also emphasizes players' decision-making, teamwork, and mental strength.

A total of five players and one female coach from Vicharpur have been selected for world-class training. These include Lakshmi Sahis (Coach), Sania Kunde, Suhani Kol, Pritam Kumar, Virendra Baiga, and Manish Ghasiya.

A Strong Foundation Built with Departmental Support

The Sports and Youth Welfare Department actively supported the entire process of player selection, training arrangements, and travel for this training program.

He said that this occasion is a source of inspiration for the young players of Madhya Pradesh and hoped that they will bring glory to the country and the state globally with their skills and dedication.
