Has Ladki Behen Yojana Drained Maharashtra Govt's Coffers? Fadnavis Govt Shutting Down One Scheme After Another!

The Maharashtra government's budget is running low because of the "Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin" (Ladli Behen) scheme, which was meant to help in the 2024 elections. As a result, many important programs are now just on paper, and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's government is shutting down several successful schemes that were started by the previous government led by Eknath Shinde because Ladki Behen Yojana has drained Maharashtra Govt's coffers.

Ambadas Danve, a leader from the Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) party, slammed the government for closing these helpful programs. He posted on social media that the Fadnavis government is hurting its own allies by stopping schemes that were meant to help the public. Instead of addressing this issue, those who left Shiv Sena UBT to join the Mahayuti are focusing only on praising the bullet train project.

Eight schemes closed: Danve

Danve said that eight schemes, including "Anandacha Shidha," started under Eknath Shinde's leadership, have already been shut down. Now, the "Chief Minister Mera Vidyalaya, Sundar Vidyalaya Yojana," which aimed to improve schools, is also at risk of being closed. Although this scheme was launched in 2023, no work has started yet, indicating the government is putting it on hold.

Education schemes stalled

Several education schemes have already been stalled, such as "Swachhata Monitor" and "One State, One Uniform." The "Chief Minister's My School, Beautiful School Scheme," which had competitions in schools and awarded prizes, is now facing closure, leaving students, teachers, and parents disappointed.

Several other schemes like Crop insurance for Re 1, apprenticeship scheme for dear brother and Chief Minister's pilgrimage scheme are also facing closure.
