Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav flagged off the state’s daughter and international mountaineer Sushri Anjana Yadav from Samatva Bhavan at the CM’s residence in Bhopal on Sunday, as she embarked on the ‘Pedal to Plant’ journey titled ‘Naya Bharat – Hara Bharat’, dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Under the ‘Pedal to Plant – Naya Bharat Hara Bharat’ initiative, Anjana Yadav and her team will undertake a 4,000-kilometer cycling expedition from Arunachal Pradesh to Gujarat.
During the journey, they will spread messages promoting India’s culture, environmental conservation, and social harmony. Sushri Yadav will also propagate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision of a united, strong and progressive India.
Anjana Yadav, from Semri village in Raisen district, has been an active mountaineer for the past five years. She has successfully climbed 20 international peaks so far. Her next goal is to conquer Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, in the year 2026.
