PM of United Kingdom Keir Starmer to visit India at invitation of PM Modi, see details
At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Sir Keir Starmer will visit India on 8-9 October 2025. This will be Prime Minister Starmer’s first official visit to India.
During his visit, on October 9 in Mumbai, both Prime Ministers will review the progress of the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. This partnership is part of a plan called 'Vision 2035,' which outlines goals for the next ten years in areas like trade, technology, defense, health, education, and community connections.
Two leaders will talk with business leaders
The two leaders will talk with business leaders about opportunities from the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which is important for the future economic partnership between the two countries. They will also discuss important regional and global issues.
Prime Ministers Modi and Starmer will attend the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai and give keynote speeches. They will also meet with industry experts and policymakers.
This visit will continue the positive relationship that was strengthened during Prime Minister Modi's visit to the UK on July 23-24, 2025, and will help reinforce the shared goals of India and the UK for a strong partnership.
