A Historic Milestone for Vindhya region: CM Mohan Yadav to Virtually Launch 72-Seater Air Service from Rewa

MP: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will virtually inaugurate the 72-seater air service from Rewa to New Delhi on November 10. With this, residents of the Vindhya region will gain the facility of direct air connectivity between Rewa and New Delhi through a 72-seater aircraft. 

Soon, a similar air service between Rewa and Indore will also commence. The inauguration ceremony will be held at Rewa Airport at 10 a.m. and will be graced by Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Rewa MP Janardan Mishra, Satna MP Ganesh Singh, Sidhi MP Dr. Rajesh Mishra and other public representatives.

Rewa Airport

For the construction of Rewa Airport, 258 acres of additional land were acquired along with the existing 65 acres of airstrip land. The Airports Authority of India undertook its construction. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had virtually inaugurated Rewa Airport on October 20, 2024. 

On the same day, air taxi and 17-seater aircraft services were launched from Rewa to Jabalpur, Bhopal, Khajuraho, and Singrauli. Due to the persistent efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, successful testing of landing and takeoff of a 72-seater aircraft was conducted on October 28, paving the way for Air Alliance to start operations from Rewa.

A historic milestone for the Vindhya region

November 10 will mark a historic milestone for the Vindhya region. The launch of regular air services will accelerate development in education, art, culture, industry, health and tourism sectors. The new connectivity will attract large numbers of domestic and international tourists to the region’s picturesque waterfalls, magnificent temples, national parks and other tourist destinations. Gradually, Rewa is emerging as one of the most important air service hubs in North-Central India.
