Bihar Exit Poll:  As voting concludes for the second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, exit poll data has created a political storm. While most surveys are predicting a landslide victory for the NDA, one exit poll has surprised everyone by suggesting a major political reversal in Bihar. This survey, conducted by Journal Mirror, predicts a Grand Alliance government in Bihar. These figures have sparked a new debate in the state's politics.

Journo Mirror's prediction has become a topic of discussion because it contradicts the claims of all other major exit polls. If the results of this survey prove correct, it will upend the entire power dynamics in Bihar. If other surveys are correct, power will once again prove elusive for the Grand Alliance of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress, Left parties, and VIP. For now, these contradictory data have raised everyone's nerves.

Bihar Elections 2025 – Exit Poll (JM / Journo Mirror)

Alliance/Party Seat Estimates

Grand Alliance (MGB) 130–140

NDA 100–110

AIMIM 3–4

Others (OTH) 0–3

What are Journo Mirror's surprising figures?

According to Journo Mirror's exit poll, the Grand Alliance is likely to win 130 to 140 seats in the 243-seat Bihar Assembly. This figure is well above the magic number for a majority. The survey shows the NDA being reduced to 100 to 110 seats, significantly lower than the 2020 election. According to Journo Mirror, Asaduddin Owaisi's party, AIMIM, may also win 3 to 4 seats. Other smaller parties in Bihar are predicted to win 0 to 3 seats. This forecast indicates a major political upheaval in the state.

Other exit polls showing a different picture

While Journal Mirror has predicted a victory for the Grand Alliance, other surveys like Matrix and People's Pulse are giving the NDA a two-thirds majority. According to Matrix's exit poll, the NDA could win a landslide victory with 147 to 167 seats, while the Grand Alliance could be reduced to 70 to 90 seats. Jan Suraj is expected to win zero to two seats. Similarly, People's Pulse's survey also predicts the NDA will win 133 to 159 seats, and the Grand Alliance will have to settle for 75 to 101 seats.

The NDA led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Bihar includes Janata Dal United, Bharatiya Janata Party, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustan Awami Morcha and Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
