ICC Women's Cricket World Cup-2025: Shafali Verma shares her feelings about Sachin Tendulkar attending final match


Shafali Verma, who played an amazing game in the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup-2025 final, shared her feelings about seeing cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar in the crowd. Many famous cricketers attended the match, including Sachin.

Shafali, who was named Player of the Match, started her cricket journey after watching Sachin play. When asked how she felt seeing him at the final, she said, "This is a very special moment for me. Seeing Sachin Sir gave me a lot of energy. I often talk to him, and he always boosts my confidence. He is a cricket legend, and speaking with him inspires me a lot."

In the final, Shafali scored 87 runs and took two wickets. She wasn't part of the Indian team at the start of the World Cup but joined after another player got injured. She expressed her happiness, saying, "I believed that God brought me here for a reason, and today that was true. I’m so happy we won the World Cup; I can’t put it into words."

When asked about the challenges of moving from domestic cricket to the World Cup knockout matches, Shafali replied, "It was tough, but I believed in myself. My family and friends supported me a lot. My focus was on scoring runs to help the team win." She added, "I had a clear plan today, and I’m glad it worked."
