Is Congress finding itself isolated on EVM issue? What is the view of INDIA alliance partners?

🎧 Listen:

While the Congress party has attempted to pressure the government by holding large rallies in Delhi protesting against EVM machines and alleging vote rigging, the views of other parties in the INDIA alliance appear to differ from those of the Congress.

I cannot question the EVM machines: Supriya Sule

NCP leader Supriya Sule recently clarified that she cannot question the EVM machines through which she has been elected as a Member of Parliament several times.

Omar Abdullah distanced himself from the voter list controversy

Similarly, the National Conference also seems to be taking a different stance from the Congress. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah distanced himself from the voter list controversy, stating that it has no connection with the INDIA alliance.

Abdullah clarified that the Congress's agenda cannot be the agenda of the INDIA alliance.

TMC's stance

In the past TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee suggested that those who have concerns should show the Election Commission (EC), with evidence, how EVMs can be hacked.  However, the Congress has remained silent on these statements from its allies.

A common sentiment among some INDIA alliance partners is that focusing solely on EVMs after a defeat might be a strategic way to avoid self-reflection on poor performance.
