Steep rise in prices of gold, silver, check today's rates


Gold and silver prices rose today, December 1st. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of gold became costlier by Rs 2,011 to reach Rs 1,28,602. Previously, 10 grams of gold was priced at Rs 1,26,591.

Gold prices could reach Rs 1,35,000 by end of this year. Ajay Kedia, director of Kedia Advisory, says that geopolitical tensions persist, which is providing support to gold. This is increasing demand for gold. Consequently, gold prices could reach Rs 1,35,000 per 10 grams this year.

Silver also rises by Rs 9,381

Silver, meanwhile, rose by Rs 9,381 to Rs 1,73,740. Previously, the price of silver was Rs 1,64,359 per kilogram. On October 17th, gold reached an all-time high of Rs 1,30,874, and on October 14th, silver reached an all-time high of Rs 1,78,100.

So far this year, the price of gold has increased by Rs 52,440. On December 31, 2024, 10 grams of 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 76,162, which has now become Rs 1,28,602.

The price of silver has also increased by Rs 87,723 during this period. On December 31, 2024, the price of one kilogram of silver was Rs 86,017, which has now become Rs 1,73,740 per kilogram.
