Bihar: Amidst political speculation, Governor, Deputy CM Vijay Sinha and Lalu Prasad Yadav attend Tej Pratap's Dahi Chura party, why political pundits are confused?
Patna: On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha, and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) National President Lalu Prasad, along with several prominent leaders from various parties, arrived to meet Jan Shakti Janata Dal (JJD) supremo Tej Pratap Yadav at the most talked-about Dahi Chura party in the capital.
A day earlier, Tej Pratap Yadav had attended Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha's Dahi Chura party, which was seen as a sign of his growing closeness to the BJP, but today, the arrival of Tej Pratap's father, Lalu Prasad, at the Sankranti party has complicated the calculations of political pundits leading to confusion among them.
Tejashwi did not attend the feast
JJD leader Tej Pratap had also invited his younger brother, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, but Tejashwi did not attend the feast. When the media asked Tej Pratap about his younger brother's absence, he quipped that his younger brother wakes up a little late in the morning.
Two very close leaders of Nitish were also present
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did not attend Tej Pratap's Chura Dahi party, but the presence of his two very close leaders, Sanjay Jha and Vijay Chaudhary, indicated that Tej Pratap is not untouchable for the JDU either.
Tej Pratap's two maternal uncles attended
The most significant aspect of the party was the presence of Tej Pratap's two maternal uncles, Anirudh Prasad alias Sadhu Yadav and Subhash Yadav. The RJD supremo has closed the doors of his house to his two brothers-in-law, but Tej Pratap showed that after leaving the RJD, he is swimming in the open air of politics.
In this regard, Tej Pratap Yadav's maternal uncle Subhash Yadav told that he had received information that Rabri Devi herself had gone to Tej Pratap's house in the morning to arrange for curd, flattened rice, and jaggery, but she was not present at the time of the feast.
During the conversation today, Tej Pratap also hinted that his political cards are open and any decision will be taken after assessing the situation.
