Venezuela crisis: China makes this demand to America; what US said; what India said?
China has demanded that the United States immediately release Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, who are currently in US custody. US forces apprehended them in Caracas, the Venezuelan capital, and took them to the United States on Saturday.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued on Sunday that taking the president from his country in this manner is wrong and that the issue should be resolved through dialogue. China had previously reacted strongly to the US action.
Most serious attack: N Korea
North Korea has described the US action in Venezuela as an act of gangsterism. The North Korean Foreign Ministry stated that the US action is the most serious attack on the independence and sovereignty of any country.
US troops attacked Venezuela on the night of January 2, kidnapping President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. They were then taken to New York, where they are being held in a detention center. They will face trial on charges related to weapons and drug trafficking.
What US said?
