Tourists from across the country will now have the opportunity to admire the sunrise and sunset from the homestays situated at the Patalkot Viewpoint in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh.

On Saturday, Chhindwara Collector Harendra Narayan inaugurated three such homestays in the tourism village of Bijadhana. He offered valuable suggestions aimed at making this tribal village a truly memorable destination for tourists visiting from within the state and across the nation.

The opening of these homestays—coinciding with World Heritage Day—at the most scenic spot within the Tamia-Patalkot region (a designated Biodiversity Heritage Site of the state) promises to provide tourists with excellent amenities.

The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, in collaboration with the 'Pararth Samiti,' has developed these homestays in the tourism village of Bijadhana. These accommodations are now attracting tourists from Maharashtra and various other states across the country.

The Viewpoint: The Village's Key Attraction

The Rathed Base Camp, located within the tourism village of Bijadhana, serves as a central attraction for visitors. Until now, there were no adequate accommodation facilities for tourists wishing to stay overnight at this base camp. However, thanks to the homestays developed with the support of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, tourists can now stay here and revel in the beauty of the monsoon rains and the misty weather. These homestays will be available at very affordable rates.

The inauguration ceremony—marked by festive music, fanfare, and great enthusiasm—was attended by several dignitaries, including Junnardeo SDM Ms Kamini Thakur, Janpad President Tulsa Parteti, Tamia CEO Ms Monika Jharia, Tehsildar Sanjay Kumar Masram, DATCC Nodal Officer Balram Rajput, Tourism Manager Girish Lalwani, and representatives from the Pararth Samiti (Ms Manjari Chande and Mohd. Sagir), along with the Sarpanch of Kaream and other prominent citizens.

Collector Narayan Holds a 'Chaupal'

During his visit to the tourism village of Bijadhana, Collector Narayan also organized a 'Chaupal' (an open community interaction session). He listened attentively to the grievances and issues raised by the local residents—as well as visitors from neighboring villages—and issued immediate directives to the concerned officials to resolve them. Furthermore, Collector urged all villagers to prioritize cleanliness within the village and advised them to extend the utmost courtesy and hospitality to visiting tourists.
