MP: CM Dr. Mohan Yadav to Perform Bhoomi Poojan for Indore–Pithampur Corridor Phase I on May 3; How Corridor Will Integrate Connectivity, Investment and Urban Development
MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will perform the Bhoomi Poojan of the first phase of the Indore–Pithampur Economic Corridor (IPEC) in Indore on May 3. This initiative reflects the state’s strategy to advance infrastructure, industry, and urban development in an integrated manner.
The Indore–Pithampur Economic Corridor is expected to play a key role in establishing Madhya Pradesh as a strong industrial base and a preferred investment destination. A short film showcasing the corridor’s structure, potential, and regional impact will also be presented during the programme.
The corridor is being developed as a well-planned industrial axis connecting the Super Corridor near Indore Airport to the Pithampur investment region. It will provide enhanced connectivity to industrial units while improving logistics, transportation, and market access. The project will integrate emerging industrial clusters in the Indore region, creating a more organised and efficient ecosystem.
Through this corridor, the Pithampur investment region, logistics hubs, textile and manufacturing units will receive seamless connectivity. This will make production and distribution systems more efficient and simplify industrial operations. The project is also expected to strengthen investment inflows and generate employment opportunities across the state.
Key Features of the Project
Approximately 20.28 km of road will be developed to connect the Super Corridor with the Pithampur investment region.
Planned development will cover around 1,316 hectares, with a total estimated cost of ₹2,360 crore.
The infrastructure includes a 75-meter-wide main road along with buffer zones on both sides, ensuring scalability for future needs.
The corridor will establish effective connectivity between National Highway-47 and National Highway-52, enabling smoother and time-efficient industrial transportation.
The project will also promote balanced urbanisation and infrastructure-led development in the Indore region.
