Mahi Lama, a talented boxer from the Madhya Pradesh State Boxing Academy, has secured her spot in the Indian team for the World Cup following a stellar performance in the assessment ranking trials held at NIS Patiala. 

Competing in the 60 kg weight category, Mahi caught the selectors' attention by registering a series of impressive victories during the trials, which took place from May 13 to May 15, 2026. She will now represent India at the World Cup, scheduled to be held in the city of Guiyang, China, from June 15 to June 20, 2026.
