On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, an atmosphere of enthusiasm regarding fitness and awareness was witnessed in the capital, Bhopal, on Sunday morning. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang arrived at TT Nagar Stadium and flagged off the "Sunday on Cycles" campaign. Thousands of youths, athletes, fitness enthusiasts, social organizations, school students, and citizens participated in the cycle rally, conveying a message of a healthy lifestyle.\

The event was jointly organized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare. The objective of this special campaign, held to mark World Bicycle Day, was to raise awareness among people about fitness, health, and environmental conservation. A large crowd of youths and citizens began gathering at the TT Nagar Stadium complex early in the morning. Participants displayed great enthusiasm, carrying placards with messages promoting 'Fit India' and health awareness.

A mass movement

Minister Sarang stated that the "Fit India Movement" has been transformed into a mass movement across the country. "Sunday on Cycles" is part of that same resolve, aimed at inspiring citizens to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle. He remarked that in today's digital and busy world, making fitness a part of one's daily routine is essential, and cycling is one of the simplest and most effective ways to maintain health.
