Broken and corrupt system snatched away lives of youth: Rahul Gandhi in Kota Rajasthan at Chhatron Ki Goonj program
Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, arrived in Kota on Wednesday afternoon to participate in an interaction program with students. Upon his arrival at Kota Airport via a chartered flight around 3:30 PM, he received a rousing welcome from Congress leaders and party workers. He was received at the airport by several senior leaders, including State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra, Leader of the Opposition Tikaram Jully, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, and Sachin Pilot.
Large number of Cong workers welcomed Rahul
A large number of Congress workers had gathered at the airport to welcome Rahul Gandhi. As soon as he stepped out of the airport lounge and headed towards his convoy, workers surged forward to meet and greet him. The police had to intervene to control the crowd and push the workers back. Amidst this, the police and administration faced considerable difficulty in maneuvering Rahul Gandhi's convoy out of the airport.
Met select students at a hotel
From the airport, Rahul Gandhi went straight to a private hotel on Station Road, where he met and held discussions with a select group of students.
Interaction program held at at the Dussehra Ground
Following this, his main event—an interaction program titled 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' (Voice of Students)—is scheduled for 5:30 PM at the Dussehra Ground. According to the Congress, only students were granted entry to this event, while party workers were barred from attending. The program aimed to discuss the challenges faced by students across the country, irregularities in competitive examinations, and issues related to the education system.
Two names kept echoing in my mind: Rahul
Before arriving in Kota, Rahul Gandhi shared an emotional post on the social media platform X. He wrote that as he set out for Kota, two names kept echoing in his mind—Umesh from Sikar and Riya from Dehradun. Rahul Gandhi claimed that both students had taken their own lives under the pressure surrounding the Re-NEET issue.
Govt shielded those responsible for paper leaks: Gandhi
He wrote that these young people, aged 22 and 23, were striving to fulfill their dreams but lost their lives due to an unjust system. Rahul Gandhi targeted the central government and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, attributing these deaths to a "broken and corrupt system." He alleged that instead of ensuring the safety and future of students, the government shielded those responsible for paper leaks, exam mismanagement, and irregularities within the education system.

Rahul Gandhi stated that the battle originating in Kota is a fight for the future and rights of students. He wrote that no child's dreams should be shattered in this manner, and no family should ever have to endure the pain of losing their child like this. He added that the anguish of students and parents would now resonate across the nation as the "voice of students."
