Following the expansion of 5G services across the country, telecom companies are now gearing up to launch 5.5G—a next-generation connectivity technology. It is expected to roll out in select cities and regions in the near future. This new technology will not merely offer faster internet; it promises to transform the entire mobile network user experience.
Emerging as the Technological Bridge between 5G and 6G
According to experts, 5.5G—also known as "5G Advanced"—is considered a crucial transitional phase between current 5G networks and the future 6G networks. Its objective goes beyond simply increasing speed; it aims to elevate network capacity, stability, and efficiency to new heights. If your smartphone is 5.5G-capable, you likely won't need to activate any specific settings manually in most cases. Smartphone manufacturers can roll out this feature through software updates.
