Achieving yet another significant milestone in clean and green energy generation, Madhya Pradesh took a major step towards sustainable development on Monday. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, along with Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi, inaugurated the 500 MW Neemuch Solar Park and the 450 MW Shajapur Solar Park in Neemuch.

Dr. Yadav and Joshi also inaugurated and performed the Bhoomi Poojan for industrial units and development projects worth Rs 1,553.98 crore. These projects are expected to accelerate industrial investment in the State while creating substantial employment opportunities at the local level.

Departmental officials informed that the 550 MW Agar Solar Park is also under construction, with tariffs of Rs 2.44 and Rs 2.45 per unit secured for its generating units. Upon completion of these projects, Madhya Pradesh will further strengthen its position among India's leading solar power-producing states and make a significant contribution towards achieving national goals of clean energy, environmental conservation and sustainable development. CM also inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Poojan for 98 development works worth nearly Rs 160 crore in Neemuch district.

CM Mohan Yadav described the inauguration of the new Neemuch Solar Park as a historic milestone, stating that it will supply electricity at the lowest tariff. Dr. Yadav said that, in the presence of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, Madhya Pradesh marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of two major solar power projects—the 500 MW Neemuch Solar Park and the 450 MW Shajapur Solar Park—developed at a total cost of Rs 2,080 crore.

The Chief Minister conducted an aerial survey of the 500 MW solar park in Neemuch and the Greenko pumped-storage project currently under construction in Khimla village. Following the survey, a detailed presentation was given to the CM covering the project's progress, technical specifications, and energy generation capacity.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Neemuch, already renowned for its agriculture, medicinal wealth and entrepreneurial spirit, is now emerging as a major hub for manufacturing, green energy, textiles and food processing. Industrial projects worth Rs 1,481 crore, comprising 30 industrial units, are being dedicated to the region.

He said clean energy now accounts for 30 per cent of the State's installed power capacity, with renewable energy capacity exceeding 12,018 MW. A 60 MW solar power plant costing Rs 271.16 crore has been inaugurated in Jalud. At Maksi, Jackson Integrated Solar Limited is establishing a 6 GW state-of-the-art solar manufacturing facility, one of India's largest green manufacturing units. The Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Park and the Omkareshwar Floating Solar Power Project continue to set national benchmarks.
