West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has said that his government would implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state. Strict laws would also be introduced to combat 'Land Jihad,' 'Love Jihad,' and forced conversions.

Suvendu made these remarks during an event held at Kolkata's Rabindra Sadan to mark the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram.'

He asserted that those who have entered India illegally and are involved in activities detrimental to the country's culture or national security will not be allowed to stay in the state. Illegal infiltrators will be identified and sent back to their respective countries.

CM said Hindu refugees who came to India due to religious persecution are not infiltrators; such individuals will be granted Indian citizenship under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

He said land has been made available to strengthen border security. Holding centers have been established in border districts to identify illegal infiltrators and repatriate them to their places of origin.

Adhikari said insult to the Army will not be tolerated. He said those who insult the Indian Army, oppose 'Operation Sindoor,' or remain silent on the Pahalgam terror attack will not be permitted to engage in such activities.

He said his government is committed to Syama Prasad Mukherjee's vision of "One Nation, One Constitution, One Leader, One Flag." Furthermore, Bengal's cultural identity and national character will not be allowed to be undermined.
