Is Madhya Pradesh Moving Towards Implementation of UCC This Month? What CM Mohan Yadav Told?
MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid floral tributes to the statue of the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and eminent nationalist thinker, Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, at Lalghati, Bhopal and planted a sapling on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
CM Dr. Yadav said, recalling the contributions of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, that his 125th birth anniversary is being observed with great respect and reverence across the state. He said the Madhya Pradesh Government is continuously working to realise Dr. Mukherjee's vision of 'One Nation, One Constitution, One Flag, One Head.' As part of this commitment, the state government is moving towards implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) within this month, he said.
CM said that the law should be the same for every section of society. He said that the people of Madhya Pradesh have resolved to implement the UCC in the state. He noted that the committee constituted for this purpose had sought suggestions from members of all religions and communities to ensure that no one is subjected to discrimination.
Dr. yadav expressed confidence that Madhya Pradesh would become the first among the country’s large states to implement the Uniform Civil Code under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
