MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Bhopal has received a major development boost with the foundation of the Satgarhi Smart Industrial Park and Convention Centre on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee. He announced that the industrial park would be named after Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, India’s first Industry Minister. The Satgarhi Smart Industrial Park is expected to generate employment for more than 15,000 people.
Dr. Yadav said that the Satgarhi industrial area would be akin to a temple in Bhopal’s journey of industrial development. He remarked, “We deliver on what we promise”. The Chief Minister added that the industrial areas being developed across the state would also create new avenues of prosperity for farmers. They would create employment opportunities for the youth, while the garment industry would benefit cotton-producing farmers. He said that the government is working to connect farms with factories and industries with markets.
Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing the Bhoomi Poojan and foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee Smart Industrial Area in the Kolar region of Bhopal on Monday, organised on the occasion of Dr. Mukherjee’s birth anniversary.
State’s Largest Convention Centre to Come Up at Satgarhi
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Satgarhi Smart Industrial Park is located just 25 kilometres from Raja Bhoj Airport and 15 kilometres from Rani Kamalapati Railway Station. The proposed Western Bypass of Bhopal will also pass through the area. He informed that a modern convention centre with a seating capacity of 10,000 will be developed over 25 acres at Satgarhi. It will be the largest convention centre in Madhya Pradesh. He said the state would continue to progress rapidly through industrial development and transparent governance.
Satgarhi Industrial Park will now emerge as another defining feature of Bhopal
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that Sagar Group Chairman Sudhir Agrawal would invest Rs 100 crore in Satgarhi. While Bhopal has long been known for its natural beauty and lakes, the Satgarhi Smart Industrial Park will now emerge as another defining feature of the capital. The project will create employment opportunities across multiple sectors and help establish Bhopal as a major industrial city. He said the initiative marks the dawn of a new era of development for Madhya Pradesh.
