Gwalior: Acting on the directions of Collector Ruchika Chauhan, Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Vikramjit Singh Kang held a meeting with bus operators to discuss the smooth operation of the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), expansion of passenger amenities, and operational arrangements.

During the meeting, the RTO informed operators that an e-bus service will soon be launched in the city, improving connectivity to the ISBT and making travel more convenient for passengers. The initiative is expected to increase passenger footfall at the terminal.

Bus operators said services to Bhind and Morena are already operating from the ISBT. While they acknowledged initial challenges due to low passenger numbers, they expressed confidence that the situation would improve and assured the administration of their full cooperation.

Officials also encouraged operators to route more buses through the ISBT and spread awareness about the facilities available there. ISBT vendor representative Manendra informed operators that ticket counters would be allotted to interested vehicle owners as per the prescribed rules. Representatives of the bus operators' unions, Smart City officials, and Transport Department personnel attended the meeting.
