Memorial and Hospital to Come Up at Union Carbide Factory Site in Bhopal, what more CM Mohan Yadav told?
Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Yadav said that, following the safe disposal of the Union Carbide waste, the State Government will develop a grand memorial and a new hospital at the former factory site. He said this would serve as a true tribute to those who lost their lives and those affected by the Bhopal Gas Tragedy. He added that Bhopal is steadily emerging as a prosperous and progressive city.
CM Dr. Yadav was addressing the Bhoomi Poojan and foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee Smart Industrial Area in the Kolar region of Bhopal on Monday.
Rs 10 Lakh Crore Worth of GIS-2025 Investments Already Grounded
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that investors from across India and abroad are establishing industrial units in every region of Madhya Pradesh. Referring to recent developments, he said that the foundation stone for a major Rs 2,500-crore defence manufacturing unit was laid in Shivpuri on Sunday.
The missiles to be manufactured at the facility will have a strike range of up to 1,000 kilometres. Earlier, Morena had received a major boost in the solar energy sector, while a Rs 2,000-crore cement plant is also being established in Guna to promote employment-oriented industrial development.
CM said that Madhya Pradesh is playing a significant role in realising the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The state successfully hosted the Global Investors Summit (GIS)-2025 in Bhopal for the first time, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and with the support of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. Of the Rs 30 lakh crore worth of investment proposals received during GIS-2025, projects worth Rs 10 lakh crore have already been grounded.
