Cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of the Asia Cup-2026 and the Asian Games-2026 due to a hamstring injury. She sustained the injury earlier this month while playing in 'The Hundred' tournament in England. Pratika Rawal has been named as her replacement in the squad.

The BCCI announced on Friday that the 25-year-old Jemimah was assessed by the medical team, which confirmed a high-grade hamstring tear.

The BCCI stated that Jemimah sustained an injury to her right hamstring during a match in 'The Hundred' league in England on August 3.

The medical team examined her at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, confirming a high-grade tear.

Asian Games scheduled to take place in Japan, from Sept 17


The Asian Games are scheduled to take place in Nagoya, Japan, from September 17 to October 3. The tournament will be played in the T20 format.
