CM MohanYadav Inaugurates 2 State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Units of Pratap Group in Pithampur
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the country has entered a new era of development and self-reliance. He was addressing the inauguration programme of two modern industrial units established in the Pithampur Industrial Area.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the new industrial units commencing operations today would further strengthen the flow of development and prosperity in the State. He inaugurated 2 state-of-the-art manufacturing units of Pratap Group—Corsis Industries and Walters Technologies—established at Smart Industrial Park in Pithampur, the State’s largest industrial city, with a combined investment of ₹850 crore.
The units will create new employment opportunities for hundreds of youth. Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was also specially present at the programme.
MLA Smt. Neena Verma, Nilesh Bharti, Pratap Group Chairman Devendra Singh Shekhawat, Smt. Mankunwar, Dr. Jitendra Singh Shekhawat, Pratap Group Managing Director Shakti Singh, Mohan Shekhawat and Prapanna, among others, were present.
Providing Employment to Youth is Government’s Top Priority
CM Mohan Yadav said the two newly inaugurated units would further strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s industrial capabilities in high-technology manufacturing and clean energy. He said creating maximum employment opportunities for youth and strengthening the economy are among the foremost requirements of the present time.
The Chief Minister said the establishment of industries based on modern technologies such as optical fibre and lithium batteries is an important step keeping future requirements in mind. These units, being established with German technological support, will emerge as centres of international-standard technology and production capabilities. They will also provide youth with training in modern technologies and open up new employment opportunities.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that adequate arrangements have been made to train youth at industrial units. Industrial activities have already begun to create possibilities for direct and indirect employment. The State Government is working to ensure that employment opportunities grow rapidly alongside investment, giving fresh momentum to economic prosperity in Madhya Pradesh, he added.
Details of the New Industrial Units
At the beginning of the programme, Pratap Group Chairman Devendra Singh Shekhawat gave details of the industrial units. He said Corsis Industries has established a state-of-the-art optical fibre manufacturing plant at Plot No. 98 in Pithampur. Spread over approximately 8,067 square metres, the plant has an annual production capacity of 5.5 million fibre kilometres. The unit has created around 300 new direct and indirect employment opportunities.
The optical fibre manufactured at the plant will be used in broadband connectivity, 5G networks, FTTH, data centres, smart cities, defence and other strategic communication infrastructure. The project will expand digital connectivity while furthering the goals of Digital India, Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Walters Technologies Private Limited has established its plant over approximately 20,505 square metres, with a production capacity of 3 GWh. The facility is expected to generate around 250 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
The plant incorporates Industry 4.0-based automation and robotic assembly lines. The facility will cater to renewable energy integration, commercial and industrial applications, and India’s clean-energy transition.
