MP: Governor Mangubhai Patel Attends Convocation Ceremony at Mansarovar Global University, Sehore; Anup Jalota and Cricketer Rajat Patidar Conferred Honorary Degree
Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel stated that the true guidance for the future lives of the graduating students lies within the convocation oath itself. Therefore, students should abide by this oath not just for a single day, but throughout their lives.
Governor urged them to remain humble and never succumb to arrogance, advising them to progress in life by upholding the values and education received from their parents, teachers, and the university. He further emphasized that graduating medical professionals should resolve to serve suffering humanity at all times, treat patients with deep empathy, listen to their concerns patiently, and provide appropriate treatment.
Governor Mangubhai Patel was addressing the "Convocation and Graduation Day" ceremony of Mansarovar Global University, Sehore, on Wednesday. On this occasion, he conferred honorary degrees upon renowned bhajan singer Padmashri Anup Jalota and international cricketer from Madhya Pradesh, Rajat Patidar.
Patel also awarded degrees and medals to the graduating students and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors. Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar was also present at the ceremony held at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium.
Anup Jalota advised the students to remain humble amidst all their successes in life. International cricketer Rajat Patidar inspired the graduates to perform every task with complete dedication and to strive for continuous progress in their respective fields.
"Continuously Organize Activities Rooted in the Spirit of Service"
Governor Mangubhai Patel urged the university to make special efforts to instill the values of service in students and inspire them to work for the welfare of underprivileged sections of society. He suggested organizing activities such as blood donation camps and social engagement initiatives on special occasions.
Patel emphasized that the institution should take necessary steps for the betterment of talented children from remote and rural areas. He called upon the students to utilize their knowledge and talent for the betterment of society and the nation, and to contribute towards realizing the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India).
Dr. Khemsingh Dehariya, Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission, urged the graduating students to bring honor to their villages, the state, their institution, and the country through the knowledge they have acquired.
The Governor inaugurated the ceremony by lighting a lamp before the statue of Goddess Saraswati and the portrait of Lord Dhanvantari. University Chancellor Smt. Manjula Tiwari welcomed Governor Patel by presenting a bouquet and a sapling, and honored him with a memento.
Pro-Chancellor Gaurav Tiwari delivered the welcome address, while Vice-Chancellor A.S. Yadav presented the annual report. Vice-Chancellors and former Vice-Chancellors from various universities, along with students and their families, were present at the event.
