In the cabinet meeting of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today, an important decision was taken regarding the atrocities against women. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has approved the opening of 218 new fast track courts in the state. Of these, 144 new courts will hear only rape cases while 74 courts will hear Posco Act cases.
In the press conference after the meeting, Uttar Pradesh Law Minister Brajesh Pathak told that 42389 Posco and 25749 rape cases are still pending in the state. Due to which the UP government has taken this big decision. Brajesh Pathak told that the recruitment of its judges will be starting soon. Apart from this, the expenditure of each court came to 75 lakh rupees.
