Bids Invited To Sell Air India

The government has started preparations to sell Air India, a government-run airline running in debt.  

For this, the government has also issued tenders to sell 100 percent stake.  The last date for which is 17 March 2020.  The government has invited bids to sell the company.  

Cabinet Ministers has recently approved the draft, which has been decided in a meeting of the Home Minister of the Modi government.  The aviation minister of the government has said that Air India's debt is increasing day by day, now it cannot be continued.  The government had earlier called bids to sell 76 percent of the shares, but no buyers were found at that time.  Also tell that Air India Company currently has a debt of 60 thousand crores.
