Assam Government To Shut Down Government Madarasa

Reports coming from the government of Assam where it has announced the closure of all madrasas and Sanskrit schools.  

Government's Education Minister Hemant Biswa Sharma has said that all Madrasas and Sanskrit schools in the state will be closed and converted into schools and general courses will be taught in these schools.

 Minister Hemant says that if religious education is imparted in madrasas with the funds of the state government, then Bhagavad Gita should also be taught in Sanskrit schools.  

He has further said that these schools will be converted into high schools and higher secondary schools.  Within four months span this will be implemented and all the madrasa would be changed to normal schools.
