Major Ordinance Brought In Parliament Act Of 1954 For One Year

A major amendment has been brought by Union Cabinet.  In a major amendment Union Cabinet has approved ordinance.  

In this ordinance the Union Cabinet has made changes in the salary, allowances and pensions of the Members of Parliament.

According to the new ordinance it had made changes in the Parliament act of 1954.  

The Union Cabinet has approved reducing the allowances and pension by 30% where of 1st April 2020  for one year.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
