India Has To Play Active Role For Peaceful And Prosperous Co-Existence Of IOR Countries.

Latest reports have been coming in from Karnataka where Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attends Indian Ocean Region Defence Minister Conclave in Bengaluru. 

In a message Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that it is an initiative to promote dialogue to foster the development of peace, stability and prosperity in the Indian Ocean region.

IOR (Indian Ocean Region) conclave should focus on security, commerce, connectivity, fight against terrorism and inter-cultural exchanges among participating countries as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh 

According to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh India being the largest country and having a vast coast line of 7,500 Kms in the IOR region, has to play an active role for peaceful and prosperous co-existence of all IOR countries.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
