Smoke was found at the Raipur-Indore IndiGo airport after arriving on Tuesday, the director general of aviation directorate of Civil Aviation said today. The incident happened on the day a pilot sent a notification to another airline, SpiceJet, of an unusually high number of incidents involving its vehicles three weeks ago.
The DGCA has said, however, that many incidents are routine and urgently addressed.
"On average there are about 30 incidents, including wandering, missing routes, entertainment, medical emergencies, weather, technology, bird strikes. Most of them have no safety implications. Instead they are important conditions for resilience.
