New Delhi: The BJP has expressed displeasure over Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto's controversial statement against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP has said that the statement by Pakistan's foreign minister is "highly shameful and derogatory".
Not only this, the BJP has decided to hold a nationwide protest on this issue on Saturday. Earlier, on Friday, BJP workers protested outside the Pakistan High Commission in the capital Delhi.
Protests will be held in capitals of all states
Regarding the protest, the BJP told that protests will be held in the capitals of all the states across the country. The party said in its statement in this regard that BJP workers will burn effigies of Pakistan and Pakistani Foreign Minister at different places across the country. Along with this, the shameful statement of Pakistani Foreign Minister will also be strongly condemned.
Bhutto's statement a sign of mental bankruptcy - BJP
The BJP further said that the remarks of the Pakistani Foreign Minister were highly derogatory and full of cowardice. The purpose of his statement is to mislead the world and divert attention from Pakistan's declining economy, lawlessness in Pakistan, growing differences in military and deteriorating global relations. Pakistan has become a major stronghold for terrorists. The statement of the Foreign Minister of Pakistan shows the desperation and mental bankruptcy of his government.
Pakistan which has faced ridicule at various global fora
The BJP said in its statement that on one side we have our Prime Minister Narendra Modi under whose leadership India has left an indelible mark on various global platforms. On the other side is Pakistan which has faced ridicule and humiliation at various international fora. On one hand India's foreign policy is being appreciated globally, on the other hand Pakistan is facing opposition from smaller countries as well.
The party said that the kind of language used by Bilawal Bhutto is highly condemnable. BJP said that even Bilawal Bhutto is not of stature to comment on our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This derogatory statement by Bilawal Bhutto has further tarnished the image of Pakistan on the global stage.
Foreign Ministry also gave a strong reaction
Earlier, the Indian Foreign Ministry also issued a statement lambasting Bilawal Bhutto. The Foreign Ministry said Pakistan needs to change its mindset. These comments of Bilawal Bhutto are a new low for Pakistan as well. Pak's foreign minister has clearly forgotten this day in 1971, which was a direct result of the genocide perpetrated by Pakistani rulers against ethnic Bengalis and Hindus.
Attacking Pakistan, the Ministry of External Affairs said in its statement that Pakistan is a country that glorifies Osama bin Laden as a martyr. Not only this, it is also a haven for terrorists like Lakhvi, Hafiz Saeed, Masood Azhar, Sajid Mir and Dawood Ibrahim.
