How Russia Reacted To Volodymyr Zelenskyy 's First Visit To US After Start Of War And What Ukraine Has Gained

Moscow: Russia has reacted strongly to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy 's US visit and has accused the US of waging a proxy war with it.
Russian Ambassador to the US, Anatoly Antonov, has said that this is a "provocative act" and its consequences can be dire.
Anatoly Antonov said in an interview to Russian state media that "the news of giving Patriot missile defense system to Ukraine is disturbing."
This is the first time Zelenskyy has visited the US since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in February this year. During this, he met US President Biden and also addressed the US Parliament.
On this occasion, Biden has announced a new relief package of $ 1.7 billion to Ukraine, in which he has also promised to give another $ 45 billion. At the same time, he said that the American stands firmly with Ukraine.

What is special about Patriot Air Defence System

The Patriot, which stands for Phased Array Tracking Radar for Intercept on Target, is a surface-to-air missile defense system and is considered one of the most advanced air defense systems in the U.S. arsenal.
The system was first used in combat during the 1991 Gulf War, with batteries protecting Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Israel, and later used during the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003.
Not only are Patriot missiles expensive, they are also more efficient and effective. The White House says that "they will help Ukraine defend its critical infrastructure from Russia's barbaric attacks."

Russia says it will achieve the goal of its special military operation

At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Sergeevich Peskov has said that during Zelenskyy's visit to America, there was no talk of peace. He said that this is proof that America is waging a proxy war with Russia.
He said that "this step of Ukraine will not prevent Russia from achieving the goal of its special military operation."
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, "The meeting of the Ukrainian President and the US President in Washington shows that neither Ukraine nor the US wants peace. Their intention is to continue the war."
