Mainpuri Lok Sabha By-election: Can BJP Penetrate Samajwadi party's Last Bastion?

Mainpuri: The by-election is to be held in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh on December 5. The by-poll has been necessitated due to the demise of Mulayam Singh Yadav, Member of Parliament from Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh

In the by-election, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Congress have not fielded their candidates this time. Netaji's daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav is the candidate from the Samajwadi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Yadav's disciple Raghuraj Singh against her.

Mainpuri has been the workplace of Mulayam Singh Yadav and since 1989, the seat is considered a stronghold of the Samajwadi Party. Earlier, despite the wave of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP failed to hoist its saffron flag in Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat.

The Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat is still considered an impenetrable stronghold of the SP. The BJP is making all out efforts to put the final nail in the coffin of the Samajwadi Party by winning the by-poll to the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat.

Talking about the caste equation of Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat, this seat is considered to be an impenetrable stronghold of the Samajwadi Party.

Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency also includes Jaswantnagar assembly segment of Etawah district. Jaswantnagar is Yadav dominated and Etawah's Jaswantnagar and Mainpuri's Karhal assembly constituencies have always been the main base of Samajwadi Party's victory.

The main reason why the BJP has not been able to win the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat so far is the high percentage of Yadavs, considered to be the traditional vote of the SP, in both these constituencies.

In Kishni and Mainpuri assembly constituencies, Yadav voters are more than other castes and only Bhogaon assembly constituency of Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat has relatively less number of Yadav voters.

Big Brahmin faces of SP are camping in Bhogaon: Considering the decisive number of Brahmin voters in Bhogaon, big Brahmin faces of the Samajwadi Party are camping here. Samajwadi Party minister Pawan Pandey, Vinay Tiwari, Lohiya Vahini national president Pradeep Tiwari, women leader Pooja Shukla and more than 100 Brahmin leaders went door-to-door asking Brahmins to vote in favor of Samajwadi Party to the Brahmin voters of Mainpuri. have been

The Brahmin vote has always been the deciding factor in face-to-face contests in Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat. Vaish vote can also go to both the parties

Shakya voters are second only to Yadavs in Manipuri: In Mainpuri, Shakya voters are second only to Yadavs and BJP has fielded Shakya candidate with the hope that if Shakya's vote goes to BJP, then BJP will destroy SP's legacy with the help of Shakya and its traditional votes.

There is also a wave of sympathy for the Samajwadi Party among the youth of Mainpuri after the demise of Netaji. Seeing the enthusiasm of the youth team campaigning with Rawal Singh Yadav of Lohiya Vahini, people are being reminded of the days of Netaji's struggle.

Voting for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat by-election is to be held on December 05. Samajwadi Party has given its full strength, it is being seen for the first time that on the lines of Netaji, the president of the party, Akhilesh Yadav is going from village to village, from house to house.
