In the present times when coronavirus and its new variants and sub-variants have created havoc all over the world, having a strong immunity is very important. A strong immunity not only protects us from virus attack but is also essential for overall good health. 

Modern lifestyle makes our immunity weak

But our modern lifestyle is such that it makes our immunity weak.There are everyday habits that weaken immunity. Waking up late, drinking and smoking and negative thinking all weaken the immune system. Balanced food, exercise, yoga, adequate sleep all these improve the immune system.

Immunity is affected by drop in temp

Even a slight drop in temperature reduces immunity by up to 50 percent. Its effect is maximum on the nose. This is the reason why cases of infections like cold, cough increase rapidly in the cold season. In such a situation, to avoid them, the most important thing is to increase and maintain immunity.

Doctors say that if you frequently fall ill, suffer from frequent infections of lung, intestinal or skin infection, lose weight, suffer from enlargement of liver, spleen and lymph nodes or decrease in immunoglobulins then this means that you have weak immunity.

7-8 hours' sleep and balanced diet are necessary

Research has shown that adequate sleep is closely related to the immune system. A healthy person must take 7 to 8 hours of sleep, those who stay awake till late at night, their immune system becomes weak.

Walking for 30 to 45 minutes daily, doing yoga or playing any kind of sports boosts immunity.

The immune system does not improve by eating any particular type of diet. A balanced food definitely helps. Homemade Indian food is the best.

Simple ways to boost immunity

Don't smoke.

Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables.

Exercise regularly.

Maintain a healthy weight.

If you drink alcohol, drink only in moderation.

Get adequate sleep.
