Bhopal: Leader of the Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Dr. Govind Singh has attacked Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, Peethadhishwar of Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur.
Govind Singh has also challenged Dhirendra Shastri to prove his powers. He has said that when allegations were leveled against the Bageshwar Sarkar, why did he run away. If he has miraculous powers then prove them.
Nagpur based organization had challenged Shastri
Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has been accused of witchcraft and spreading superstition by the Superstition Eradication Committee of Nagpur. The committee had challenged him to prove his powers by setting up his court.
After this Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri had left Nagpur on 11 January instead of 13 January. He was accused of running away from Nagpur leaving the Katha.
Regarding the allegations of the committee, Shastri has given several statements one after the other. He said that he is being attacked because of working against the religious conversions. He has accused Christian missionaries of conspiring against him. He has also said that in India, lighting a candle and offering a chadar is a faith, but offering a coconut is considered a superstition.
Who is Bageshwar Maharaj
Bageshwar Maharaj i.e. Dhirendra Shastri is basically a resident of Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. His ashram is in Bageshwar Dham.
He was born in 1996 in village Gada of Chhatarpur district. He has received education up to BA.
Bageshwar Maharaj's family was very poor, which he himself mentions in his stories. But he started holding divine courts like his grandfather.
People say that Bageshwar Maharaj also started having divine feeling like his grandfather.
A few days back, Bageshwar Maharaj had organized a divine court in London as well.
Controversies surrounding Bageshwar Maharaj
Bageshwar Maharaj remained in controversies even before this. He remains in controversy regarding the style and statements hade during Kata narration.
On June 26, 2022, there was a controversy over the statement made regarding the Sai statue in Shankaracharya temple. Bageshwar Maharaj, after seeing the Sai statue, said that when there are 33 crore deities, then what is the need to worship Chand Mian.
Bageshwar Maharaj claims to talk to any god. He says that he talks to God through his instrument.
