New Delhi: Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has canceled his Friday press conference amid the ongoing tussle between the WFI and the wrestlers.

Players boycott National Championship

This controversy has also affected the National Championship to be held in Gonda, UP. Many players from Delhi, Haryana and Punjab who went to participate in the championship are returning. Delhi's wrestler Pradeep Meena, who was involved in these, told that till now more than 200 wrestlers have returned. These people have refused to play in the championship.
According to Pradeep, who has been wrestling for almost 15 years, 'Now there are not many wrestlers in Gonda. We are with the wrestlers protesting in Delhi. As soon as we reach Delhi, you will go to Jantar Mantar.

Pradeep alleged – We have to buy tickets for commuting with our own money. The arrangements for stay are also not good. They make you stay in college rooms. There are thin mattresses here. We didn't even get anything to eat. Even in the morning, we ate food with our own money.'
