Coronavirus India: Cases Increasing Rapidly; Over 11000 New Cases In 24 Hours; 3 Dozen Succumb

New Delhi: Corona has once again increased worry in the country. More than 11 thousand corona cases have come to the fore in the last 24 hours. While more than three dozen people have succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. 

Highest 9 people died in Kerala

If we talk about the states, the maximum number of people who died are from Kerala, where 9 people have died. The positivity rate of Corona which is catching fast in India has gone up to 5.01 percent.

Cases increasing very fast in Delhi

If we talk about Delhi only, then the cases of corona are increasing very fast here. In the last 24 hours, 1527 new cases have come in Delhi, now the positivity rate here has gone up to 27.77 percent. Means about 28 people are coming out corona positive among every hundred people. However, it is a matter of relief that in the last 24 hours, 909 patients have been cured and only two people have died. Now active cases have increased to 3962 here.

1086 cases in Maharashtra

Last time, the biggest crisis of Corona was seen in Maharashtra. This time also the corona is spreading very fast here. 1086 cases of corona have been found here. There are now 5700 active cases in the state. Maximum of these are in Mumbai where 274 cases have been found. 

In the last 24 hours in Maharashtra, one patient has died. For the first time after September 2022, 320 corona cases have been found in Mumbai on Wednesday. However, 274 patients have been cured in 24 hours and now the active cases are 1,635.

Most cases of XBB.1.16 variant

The maximum number of corona patients in the country are victims of the XBB.1.16 variant. More cases of this variant are being found. INSACOG, which monitors genome sequencing, says that 38.2 percent of the total cases of corona are cases in which the XBB.1.16 variant has been found.

XBB.1.16 spreads fast 

The XBB.1.16 variant spreads very quickly. According to experts, the speed of spreading of XBB.1.16 is about 40 times more than XBB.1.15. This is a sub variant of Omicron. However, the symptoms of the new variant of Corona are the same as before. At present, no new symptoms have come to the fore. Flu cases have also increased due to changing weather, in such a situation, corona cases have also increased.
