World Liver Day is celebrated across the world on April 19. The day focuses on boosting awareness about liver-related ailments disorders. Liver is responsible for immunity, digestion, as well as metabolism.
If liver is not functioning properly, it affects the digestive system as well as the working of the kidney, lungs, heart and brain.So it important to keep the liver healthy. In India, liver ailments amount to the 10th most common reason for death, according to World Health Organisation (WHO).

Actually fatty liver is now in the form of epidemic. This fatty liver occurs in 30% of the people of the country. The percentage of fatty liver is also increasing in children of 14-15 years. Its treatment is necessary on time. Eating excess calories causes fat to build up in the liver. In children it is usually caused by consuming oily, deep fried and sugary foods.
Alcohol dangerous for liver but bad lifestyle also causes liver disorders
If a person regularly consumes more alcohol then it is risky for his liver. Liver is affected even if a person who does not drink regularly but drinks too much at one go in parties etc.
Non-alcoholic fatty disease or people who do not take alcohol but their lifestyle is bad, remain inactivity, even then they can become victims of fatty liver. Liver failure also occurs due to diabetes.
