New Delhi: Earthquake tremors were felt in the northern part of the country on Tuesday. Its intensity was measured at 5.7 on the Richter scale. Apart from Delhi-NCR, tremors were felt in Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
The intensity of the tremors in Delhi was less. But many people felt the tremors of the earthquake. The epicenter of the earthquake is said to be 30 km southeast of Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir.
After the earthquake, children were scared in the schools of Jammu and Kashmir and people have come out after closing the shops in the markets. There was an earthquake in Shizang, Tibet on Tuesday itself. Its intensity was measured at 4.3 on the Richter scale. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at 3:23 am. Its center was 106 kilometers below the ground.
