Bhopal: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be on a tour of Indore, Madhya Pradesh on 30 July (Sunday). But before that he will once again hold a meeting with senior party leaders in Bhopal on the night of 29th July. This is the third visit of Amit Shah in this month. Earlier, Amit Shah had visited on 11th and 27th July.
Actually, assembly elections are going to be held in the state by the end of this year. This election is not going to be easy for BJP. This is the reason why the activism of the central leadership is increasing in the state. Shah has given the message that the election has to be fought unitedly on the face of PM Modi.
Shah has taken command of poll campaign in MP in his hands
Amit Shah is called BJP's Chanakya and supreme strategist. For the last about 6 months, he is continuously touring Madhya Pradesh. It is possible that he will also go to visit Lord Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain on this day. It is clear from the visits of Union Home Minister that in a way he has taken the state BJP's election campaign in his hands.
Apart from Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda is also visiting Madhya Pradesh continuously. Prime Minister Modi himself is also visiting Madhya Pradesh almost every month. Obviously, BJP is giving utmost importance to Madhya Pradesh. In fact, after Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh is the only state where the party has been ruling continuously.
While Gujarat is called the laboratory of Hindutva, the Madhya Pradesh BJP unit is considered a model in the entire country in terms of organisation. Amit Shah has taken the election campaign of Madhya Pradesh with him also so that there is unity among the leaders of the state.
BJP suffered major losses in 2018 in Malwa-Nimar
BJP will be eyeing to infuse new energy among the workers of Malwa-Nimar region of western Madhya Pradesh before the upcoming assembly elections. The region, with a sizable population of farmers and tribals, has 66 assembly seats and the BJP had suffered major losses at the hands of the Congress during the last elections in 2018.
A BJP functionary said that in view of the upcoming assembly elections, Shah had presided over the BJP's core committee meeting in the capital Bhopal on Wednesday and his visit to Indore on July 30 was planned during this meeting.
Shah will be among booth level workers for first time
Indore is the biggest center of politics in the Malwa-Nimar region and this will be the first time in recent times that Shah will reach among the party workers up to the booth level. Deepak Jain, co-incharge of BJP's state media department, said, "Shah will address the workers' convention during his Indore tour."
When asked about the massive loss to the BJP in the Malwa-Nimar region during the last assembly elections, Jain said the Congress had made "false promises" to the voters in these elections, but now people have understood the reality of the Congress. He told that during his visit, Shah will also visit the birthplace of Lord Parshuram at Janapav Kuti, about 50 km from Indore.
Congress said this
On the other hand, the state's main opposition Congress has targeted the state leadership of the ruling BJP over Shah's visit to Indore. KK Mishra, president of the media department of the Congress, said, “Ahead of the assembly elections, BJP bringing Amit Shah among the workers shows that the present faces of BJP in the state have lost their relevance. When even the top leadership of BJP does not trust these faces, then why should voters trust these faces?"
