Jaipur: Even after the high-level meeting of Congress held in Delhi, the rhetoric of ministers and legislators about CM face continues in Rajasthan. Many Congress leaders have given their opinion on the question related to the suitable face for the post of Chief Minister in Rajasthan.

Talking to the media, Disaster Relief Minister Govind Ram Meghwal has said that it has been forbidden in the Congress meeting to make any statement about CM face. As far as the face of the Chief Minister is concerned, there has never been such a tradition in the Congress to announce the CM before the elections.

Meghwal said every time the Congress declares the leader of the MLAs' choice as the chief minister only after securing a majority. The future Chief Minister of Rajasthan will also be decided by the Congress high command but after the election results are out. Congress leaders obey every instruction of the high command.

But despite whatever may have been decided in the Congress meeting and Meghwal's statement, the infighting in Rajasthan Congress over CM face is not over yet.

'Many leaders are role models for the youth'

He reportedly said that 'Is my face bad for the post of Chief Minister?' The Congress high command has prohibited from issuing such statements. Despite this, such comments continue to be issued by party leaders.

Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said that there is no dearth of Chief Minister's faces in Rajasthan. He said that Ashok Gehlot is the CM. Sachin Pilot, Govind Singh Dotasara are also among contenders. Why my face is looking bad for the post of Chief Minister. Khachariyawas said that the face of the party is Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. The rest of the faces walk behind them as workers.

'Tussle going on for four and half years'

Former BJP State President and Deputy Leader of Opposition Satish Poonia says that for the last four and a half years in Rajasthan, there was a tussle between Congress leaders regarding the Chief Minister. Some leaders left Rajasthan and went to Manesar to get the CM's chair and some leaders were imprisoned in hotels for one and a half months to save the chair. The process of grabbing and saving the chair continued and the people of Rajasthan kept craving for development.
