Sanjay Singh Arrest: AAP Organises Nationwide Protests


New Delhi: Protests were held against the central government in Delhi, Chandigarh and Rajasthan against the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh.


Hundreds of Aam Aadmi Party workers demonstrated at the BJP headquarters in Delhi.


Sloganeering and scuffles with the police also took place in this demonstration. Delhi Police had erected heavy barricades and deployed a large number of police forces to stop the protesters.


Meanwhile, Enforcement Directorate has sought 10 days custody of arrested AAP leader Sanjay Singh. Sanjay Singh said his arrest is "Modiji's injustice", and Modi will lose the election.

Police used water cannon and tear gas shells on protesting Aam Aadmi Party workers in Chandigarh.


Aam Aadmi Party workers demonstrated in many parts of the country including Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh.


On Wednesday, the Enforcement Directorate raided Sanjay Singh's house and arrested him in the evening after ten hours of interrogation.


Opposition leaders condemned Sanjay Singh's arrest 


All the opposition leaders have condemned the arrest of Sanjay Singh and called it motivated by vendetta politics.


Aam Aadmi Party leader and minister in Delhi government Atishi said, “We challenge BJP to reveal even one rupee of corruption from Sanjay Singh to the nation. ,


AAP MLA Dilip Pandey said that the Modi government has left its star campaigners - ED and CBI - behind the opposition leaders.


Delhi Government Minister Gopal Rai said, "BJP spokespersons are singing the same tuneless tune that they were singing before the MCD elections. Just as the MCD lost the elections, the corrupt Modi government will also lose the upcoming Lok Sabha elections against the INDIA Alliance."
