MP Election 2023: Will Sumawali Congress candidate Ajab Singh Kushwaha be arrested? Party's woes could increase in Gwalior Chambal region

MP Election 2023: Even though today i.e. November 2 is the last date for withdrawal of nominations for Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections-2023, in the meantime lines of worry are clearly visible on the foreheads of many candidates. Ajab Singh Kushwaha, the Congress candidate from the Sumawali Assembly seat in Morena district, faces the added pressure of an arrest warrant issued by the District Court.

This warrant was authorized by Judicial Magistrate Deshna Jain in a case involving check bounce and forgery, potentially leading to Ajab Singh Kushwaha's imminent arrest by the police.

Complainant has urged administration to arrest accused Kushwaha

Ajab Singh is required to appear in court on November 8th. The complainant in the case has urged law enforcement and the administration to arrest the accused Kushwaha, who had been actively campaigning in the area, and present him before the court.

The predicament is poised to exacerbate Congress's woes. It's worth noting that Ajab Singh Kushwaha was nominated by the Congress for the Sumawali seat in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections after cancelling ticket of Kuldeep Sikarwar due to opposition. Earlier, Sikarwar was given ticket but later Kushwaha was given ticket after he rebelled.

If he is arrested in compliance with the court's order, it may pose significant challenges for both Ajab Singh and the Congress. With only 15 days left until the 2023 elections, the potential arrest of Ajab Singh could lead to substantial losses for the party.
