Both the BJP and Congress are unnerved due to the alliance between Hanuman Beniwal, the leader of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP), and Chandrashekhar Azad of the Azad Samaj Party (ASP) in the Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023. Both the leaders are conducting joint meetings, aiming to sway the voter base traditionally aligned with the BJP and Congress.
Hanuman Beniwal contends that Congress and BJP have taken turns governing Rajasthan. However, he asserts that this time, only independent and third-front candidates will constitute the state government.
Beniwal states that the RLP-ASP alliance aims to secure 80 seats in Rajasthan, which will be pivotal in determining the government. Commenting on PM Modi's rally in Nagaur, Beniwal recalled the BJP's security deposit was forfeited in 2013. He predicted a similar outcome for the Bharatiya Janata Party this time, emphasizing RLP's potential to win at least 6 out of 10 seats in Nagaur.
People will entrust the reins of power to Hanuman Beniwal: Azad
Chandrashekhar Azad of the Azad Samaj Party observed that when the public faced disappointment with Congress, they voted for BJP, and vice versa. He highlighteed that Rajasthan lacked a third option until now. But now RLP and ASP have emerged as viable alternatives. Azad expressed confidence in the strong competition posed by this third option in Rajasthan, predicting that people will entrust the reins of power to Hanuman Beniwal.
In response to BJP's decision to field Girraj Singh Malinga from Bari, Chandrashekhar Azad criticized the saffron party for endorsing someone who had assaulted a Dalit officer, resulting in 22 fractures. He remarked on BJP's supposed commitment to Dalits and pointed out that Congress had previously protected the same MLA for 17 to 18 months.
Azad taook a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suggesting that while the PM belongs to everyone, during elections, he exclusively promotes the BJP.
Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan of the Azad Samaj Party asserted that the RLP-ASP alliance will secure enough seats in Rajasthan to place the key to power in Hanuman Beniwal's hands. He predicted that, during the government formation process, Beniwal will play a pivotal role as the kingmaker.
