Jitu Patwari is Madhya Pradesh Congress chief; Umang Singhar & Hemant Katare get these key posts


Jitu Patwari has been made new PCC Chief. Madhya Pradesh Congress has announced the name of Leader of Opposition and new state president. 


While the party has made tribal leader Umang Singhar the leader of opposition, it has given the big responsibility of state president to Jitu Patwari. This time Jitu had lost the assembly elections from Rau. He did not have any post at present. Just a few days ago, PCC Chief and former CM Kamal Nath had offered his resignation to the high command.


Hemant Katare made Deputy Leader of Opposition


Congress has made Hemant Katare the Deputy Leader of Opposition. Hemant had won a big victory in Ater Assembly over Arvind Bhadauria, who was a minister in the BJP government. Congress has given its reward to Katare. Congress had to face a crushing defeat in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. In this, veteran Congress leaders like Leader of Opposition Govind Singh, Jitu Patwari and Sajjan Verma had lost the election. Where BJP got 163 seats and Congress 66 seats.


Umang Singhar has this big responsibility


This time, Umang Singhar has been made the Leader of Opposition in place of Lahar MLA and senior Congress leader Dr. Govind Singh. Umang Singhar is a tribal leader. He is an MLA from Gandhwani seat of Dhar. Umang Singhar is the nephew of veteran Congress leader Jamuna Devi. After a long brainstorming, Congress, playing the tribal card, has given a big responsibility to Umang Singhar.
