Why did Akshay Kumar tell cricketer Shikhar Dhawan to stay motivated?

Film actor Akshay Kumar has consoled cricketer Shikhar Dhawan over his grief of not being able to meet his son Zorawar. Akshay Kumar has advised Dhawan to stay motivated.

Tagging Shikhar Dhawan in response to his post, Akshay Kumar wrote on social media site Instagram on Thursday, "Really moved to see this post. As a father, I know that nothing is more painful than not being able to see your child. "

Boosting Dhawan's morale, he wrote, "millions of us are praying for you to meet your son soon. God bless."

Shikhar Dhawan is currently facing challenges in his personal life, marked by his separation from his ex-wife Aesha. Unfortunately, this has adversely affected his relationship with his son Zorawar. Despite not having met his son for over a year, Dhawan recently posted a heartfelt birthday message for Zorawar on December 26 on Instagram.

In the post, he expressed his deep longing for a reunion. Without naming his wife Aesha Mukherjee, he said that for the last three months he was blocked on every medium through which he could contact his son Zorawar.

'I am always with you in my heart'

Dhawan told his son in that post that even though he has not met him for a year, he is always with him in his heart.

Dhawan wrote in his post, "It’s been a year since I saw you in person, and now, for almost three months, I’ve been blocked from everywhere so posting the same picture to wish you, my boy, a very Happy Birthday.

"Even if I can’t connect with you directly, I connect with you through Telepathy. I am so proud of you, and I know you’re doing great and growing up nicely," Dhawan wrote in a long emotional post on Instagram.

Dhawan last met his son in November 2022 and wished his son on his birthday virtually last year and this time as well.

"Papa always misses you and loves you. He’s always positive, waiting with a smile for the time when we will meet again by the Grace of God. Be naughty but not destructive, be a giver, be humble, compassionate, patient, and strong. Despite not seeing you, I write you messages almost every day, asking about your well-being and daily life, sharing what I’m doing and what’s new in my life," Dhawan added.
